PayPal Rules In Favor Of Illegal Bootlegs

I recently purchased DVDs that were dreadful picture and audio quality and turned out to be illegal bootlegs.

PayPal insisted that I obtain certificates from trained professionals to prove they were not authentic, insisting that this was the only evidence they would accept.  They stated I would have to foot the bill for any fees associated with obtaining this evidence.

I was unable to provide them with what they wanted and I suspect they knew I would not be able to do so.  I provided three statutory declarations signed by a Justice of the Peace who works with the Department of Justice and Attorney General and PayPal rejected these declarations as not being acceptable.

My claim was denied and they found in the seller's favour.  I am out of pocket almost $50 and have had to throw the DVDs away.
