Thread: Forgot security questions.

    Default Forgot security questions.

What are the steps you need to take in order to retrieve your Paypal password once you forgot your security questions?

Do you need to send Paypal ID proof/scans or utility bills in your name once again and is it a lengthy process?

You should just be able to call customer service, and get them to tell you you're security questions and then get them answered. The other thing should be for them to send you a link to redo your security questions, or just edit your profile settings.

What you're mentioning I've never heard of sending proof or anything like that. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help.

The only thing you can do is call pay pal customer service and talk to them. They will most likely make you answer a lot of questions for verification and then reset your password. This is your only solution at this point.

You're correct in thinking that you may well have to send them some documents.

It depends on what current information you can remember and tell them. Give them a ring.

Contacting customer service is the best way to go. As others have said, be aware that you might need to provide them with some documents to verify your identity.

Customer service will fix this. They will want some really personal info, like your SS#, etc. Then they will help you.

Of course they will have to verify your identity just to make sure you are exact person that you say you are. Some documents will have to be uploaded for verification among other things.

If you have forgotten all the security questions, you should definitely call the customer support and explain the delicate situation to them. They will understand your problem and you'll be able to immediately prove that you are the owner of the account.

Yes. Like every website you need to confirm your identity by doing this and sending that.
