Thread: PayPal's currency conversion policy does not add up

    Well I think they meant bots, since in the past Paypal got robbed all the time from some very ingenius hackers who utilized bots to fake transactions, and digital money they would then transfer the fake E-money to their accounts, looting thousands of dollars a day, this was in the early days of Paypal's inception...

    Man, I'm jealous that some of you don't have to pay to have your money converted.

    I use my Canadian debit card in the US and the bank rates kills me. The current exchange rate is 1.1126 and my bank charges 1.1455. One hundred USD costs me $114.55 when it should only cost me $111.26. It's even worse for the Mexican Peso. I only get 1094 pesos for $100 Canadian when I should be getting 1200 pesos.

    It COULD be conversation rates honestly. If not, they could have charged you a fee to convert the currency, which would be really lousy but not out of the question.
