You don't need a website. We used Paypal in my brick and mortar store. It is possible to get a Merchant account without having a website.

You do not have to have a website to have a merchant account, but you do have to indicate to your merchant services provider how you will be making your sales as this will determine how your merchant account is set up and how you will be accepting cards. If you are retail, you will need a card swipe machine. If you are mail order/telephone order, you can use a virtual terminal (computer software) or a physical terminal to key in the information. However, if you are performing online sales through a website, you will need to have an online shopping cart. You won't be able to just use a virtual or physical terminal as this is against card association rules.
