Default Paypal robbed me!

I have a PayPal account and sold my only computer to help pay my expensive college tuition and started using computers on campus instead. The sneaky buyer said he never received it and I didn't know that I was supposed to insure it (no one told me to and there were not notices when I received payment) because the sale was a little over $250. PayPal took my money AND my computer! Bullshit! And then they deny me requests to appeal. Said there was nothing more they could do for me.

Welcome to the world of Paypal. It is a dark, scary world where criminals and scum rule and good honest people get torn into pieces.

Paypal try to say that they offer seller protection when in reality they screw over sellers on a regular daily basis. And then there is all the small print they think the average user reads through, they rely on the fact that we don't read it. That way it is easier for them to have it their way.

Not even their customer service reps knows all their rules and regulations.

Paypal is the judge and jury so don't expect them to be fair. They like to be profitable.

The best advice I can give to anyone thinking about using Paypal (you must be crazy!!) is to educate yourself. Read the entire User agreement and see if you still want to use them.

I have been robbed as well by paypal and they always get away with it. I wasn't robbed of my livelihood like a lot of people are but non the less I didn't like it. They debited my checking account for 10 timed the amount they should have. I never got my money back.

This all happened after they had asked me to "update" my checking information or my account would be limited. So I updated my checking account and they took my money right out of there.

I hate paypal. They are the scum on earth. They will rob you blind. I bought almost $500 worth of jewelry that I never received. There wasn't even any proof that the goods were delivered to me because it turns out is was most likely stolen by someone with the courier company. Why should I be out money for something I never received. The Seller had no proof of delivery but they still sided with him. Paypal is BS!

The only way we can protect ourselves from paypal is to stop using them. Paypal will sooner or later steal your money from you. It may take years before they get their hands on your money or it may only be a few weeks after you sign up with them but they will.

There User agreement is designed and written in a way that allowed them to hold and take your money from you. And in order to use paypal us users have to agree to this before signing up with them. So we allow them to do this to us!

Crazy.

Exactly! SCREW PAYPAL....STOP USING THE THEIVES! They took my my money and won't give it back. They don't care who they take from because it fills their pockets and they are happy who cares about someone trying to get by or help pay college expenses etc...they don't! They will continue their dirty rotten ways because they can and people continue to use them believing that they will never be screwed by paypal...yeah right!

If you really need the money, go to small clams court and open a fraud case against the buyer & get your documentation together for the ensuing battle. Check the tracking info to see if the package ever arrived & when it arrived. Besides doing those 2 things, you really can't do much in this situation.
