Default Put on hold and disconnected

The "48-hour" review of my account, which I have had for years, with no problem, has gone on for two weeks now, with no explanation. When I asked that my call be escalated, I was put on hold and disconnected.
What is the point of having a customer service department if there is no service being provided? All I want is to know is why it has been over 2 weeks and how much longer I should expect this review to go on.

Appaling lack of customer service. Bottom line - they have my money and won't allow me access to it. Whilst it sits in their bank account for months on end they are earning interest on it - not me! Ridiculous situation and I would never use paypal ever again (once I have my money back eventually of course)

I've have learned the hard way paypal is an awful, unsuporttive company. Customer service?? One cannot get a straight answer about dispute details to save a life. The same cut and paste answers every time. I'd have the same level of protection using money order. Denied a claim when the seller cannot even provide info he shipped anything. Out 230.00. The whole (we are here to protect you) line paypal is soo proud of is an absolute lie. Paypal's has a mafia mentality that (paypal doesnt have to tell you anything, you lost your money and we dont care).

Paypal customer service used to be great - efficient and helpful, but they've dropped WAY off. Recently they've started placing holds and blocks on your account or payments so that they can verify your personal information - It's a huge hassle. Then I emailed them about 10 times to get one issue resolved, and they couldn't do it. They were useless. Rude, and had no concern that I had been a good standing Paypal member fora long time. Their fees are extortionate, and the customer service sucks.

I have stopped calling the paypal customer "service" there is just no point of wasting my time like that. With a little bit of online research and forums like this one I find more help doing it myself. I do not need to be given the run-around by arrogant uncaring people that will drop my call at anytime they feel like it.
