Default Help! No refund on my site but paypal refunds

Hi,
Great site by the way.

If I have on my webstore legal terms and conditions which cover "no refunds" and the buyer agrees to these terms can paypal still refund them or would might "terms" override their terms as the buyer made the contract between me and them and not between them and paypal.
I sell digital goods, meaning I can't prove postage.
If my store is right to stop refunds how can I stop paypal from refunding?
Many thanks

You cannot stop them refunding, they might be your rules but not paypals.

Everytime a dispute is raised respond with,

THIS ITEM IS INTANGIBLE. I SELL DIGITAL GOODS ONLY.

The case should be closed your favour becuase buyers are not covered for intangible items. Simple as that.

You cant stop buyers raising dipsutes.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, That's great.
I've also made it so that only 1 item per customer to stop chargebacks for high amounts.

Thanks once again

It's been reversed! any advice?!

EDIT: Just spoke to paypal the guy agreed but said call back at 9:30 to speak to the Limitations dept. hmmm

Buyer protection does not cover intangible or virtual items so if a buyer disputes it then you should be ok. If they paid with a credit card however and do a chargeback then unfortunately there is little you or PP can do as it's the card associations rules not PP's. They can chargeback for unauthorised charges, item not received (even intangible) or not as described just to name a few.

NO-ONE Can stop a chargeback. I thought you ment just dispute cases.

ANY buyer who pays by card can do a chargeback.

As we all know, the banks run the counrty. Paypal cannot stop a bank re-calling the funds.
Its against the law. Unfortunatley chargebacks are a way of life on paypal.

Its most case you need to proove that you sent the item but you cant., or can you?

It CAN appealed it with ANY new relavent information, screen shots, e-mails anything to state your case. A chargeback is the only time that those things could be taken into consideration.

Bur fors diputes, the first option will (Should) have the case closed in your favor.

Hope this helps.

You are right, the dispute that happened was not activated by the buyer, paypal activated it thinking it's a fraud payment!

oh man, I sent a nasty email to the buy! eeek.... time to say sorry I think
