Hi,
I sold an tiem on ebay and the buyer paid but he clearly had problems since he tried a couple of cards and finally his ***friend*** paid for him. I shipped the guitar but had to wait 21 days for my funds to be available. My funds became available 03-01-2012 and I transfered the funds into my bank account and the transfer was marked complete the same date. Now the buyer decided he didn`t like the item and filed an ebay case against me. Paypal but my account in the minus but my question...did they take the money from the transfer or just put my account in the negative because I didn`t have funds in it. I provided ebay with all the information regarding this new user scamming me and I escalated to a claim. Also, I called last week to warn them I felt something was wrong since the buyer tried using multiple credit cards and wasn`t verified. I called back today and explainded the same situation and the ebay rep was helpful.... what do you think? |

screw ebay and paypal! After all the facts I provided that this was a scam, they decided in the buyer's side. Now they said he has to shipped back the item...wich will be a empty box since this is a scam
I have no choice but to change my bank account and cancel my credit card...screw you ebay and paypal |

Since the buyer has to send the item back, which I am sure you don't want (that's why you auctioned it off/sold it), they will have to send back by UPS with a signature required. Simply ignore UPS' attempts to deliver (you get 3) and let the item get returned to sender. That way it doesn't look like you were trying to keep the money and the item. I see in another post you already cancelled your bank account and card associated with Paypal so you should be good to go. Good luck. |

Well Ebay decided in the buyer side even if he sent back an item to the incorrect address and the tracking clearly shows this information. I contacted them again but they already refunded the scammer and I now owe Ebay money. They won't get a dime from me since I gave them all the facts and proofs that I was being scammed!

ebay have to refund the buyer as he has sent the item back.you can now dispute the case, as you have not got the item. no matter what the buyer will keep his money. its now up to ebay to decide whether or not they want to refund you out of there own pocket. your story does not add up though. the buyer would not of sent a item to the wrong address, that would be stupid. were you using a stealth address?

nope home address
keep in mind both paypal and moneybookers declined the credit cards he had when he tried to pay. He changed his address when I was about to ship the guitar. He used a **friend's** credit card to pay. Right now, the buyer has my guitar and kept his money. If ebay would had decided in my favor, I'm pretty sure his friend would called his credit card compagny and filled a chargeback for the transaction. I sent all the emails between me and the buyer during the transaction process showing he said the his credit cards were declined and didn`t want to get verified by paypal or moneybookers. I scanned all my receipt for the shipping (shows weight, dimensions, tracking, signature confirmation) I also sent a copy of the tracking number he provided me that clearly says: Customer addressing error found; attempting to correct. Possible delay. We'll see what ebay will do now... |
