Default Pipeline Data

Wish I had seen this thread a couple of months earlier.

I signed up for an account with Pipeline Data but tried to back out before I even got started. It wasn't 'til after I signed the initial contract that they informed me that a credit check was neccessary to receive their phone. It just seemed sneaky, and I won't allow anyone to perform a credit check, as I've been working hard to clear my record.

Next, I ran two charges but never recieved the money in my checking account. The first rep said that the charges were cancelled. She hung up on me while looking into the problem.

I called back, and the second rep said that no charges had been made, and the first rep doesn't know what she's talking about. I was so mad that I hung up and called back so I could get a third opinion.

The third rep saw the charges, and said they were cancelled because I called the wrong number for authorization. I don't see how this was possible, as I did what they told me to do. But she gave me another number, and I called again for authorization.

Once again, I never recieved payment for my items. This time I called and cancelled service. I was given a hard time about this, but at this point I was outright hostile with them. Enough is enough. I was willing to take a loss on my two charges if I could just never deal with these morons again.

I thought I'd heard the end of them until a month later, when a $35.95 monthly fee was deducted from my checking account. Of course, nobody at Pipeline will take responsibility for this, and I'm stuck dealing with my bank over this matter.

Another thing that bothered me from the beginning is their uncanny knack for passing the buck. Seemed like nobody would take ownership of a problem, and they always wanted to refer me to somebody else. But that "somebody else" who could solve my problem didn't seem to exist...

Best bet is to file a complaint with PayPal. You can do this through your resolutions center. Also, go to your bank to dispute the debit. You should be able to get your money back. If all else fails, write to the BBB. PayPal will refund the money as a courtesy credit to close out the Complaint with the BBB.

Thumbs down Horror Stories: Someone else did it!

"The company does not make decisions on your accounts. All decisions are made by one person on the Omaha fraud team. The decision to lift the limited access on your account comes from one person in resolution services. If someone on the fraud team makes a quote "no appeals" you are done. The resolution services team will not even try to lift the limited access on your account but will continue to tell you that you need to fax in documentation. "
