Some jerk I had as a client over a year ago decideds he wanted his money back.. im taking about a year of teaching. One on one. He tells his credit card company CHASE BANK, that he never made those chargers. $6000!!!!
I uploaded a SIGNED CONTRACT AND 10 E-MAILS THE FORMER CLIENT AND I HAD BACK AND FORTH. Some good that did. I got to paypal account and I have negative balance of $6240!!! Paypal charged me $20 for every chargeback, $20 x 12 months. Kiss my A** paypal... I call them up and they tell me there is nothing they can do, but I would need to cover the balance while they look into it... Are they kidding? How you gona tell me there is nothing you can do and your next sentence is I need to cover the charge while we look into it? Does my head say moron? I reported my credit card linked to paypal as stolen, then I called my bank and told them my account was comprimised. So now they have no way to collect any money. I have been up researching this and much to my shock, Paypal is famous for screrwing sellers... i mean its everywhere. Locking accounts for 180 days for no reason, debiting users banks and credit cards for amount "owed" to them... what a joke. E-Bay is no better. Just wanted to add my story here. I read somewhere on this forum a few people saying that we are just dumb. Tell me your web address, I will come and buy stuff from you. Then in a few months I will call my credit company and chargeback my purchases. i will win, keep your stuff, get my money back, and you will lose money, your product, plus fees and your paypal will be locked. Come back here, ask for help and I will be sure to laugh at you and give you the finger. Have fun with PayPal until they rob you.... fools. -Ric Last edited by riclater211; 02-02-2012 at 09:26 PM. |

Paypal assists in robbing sellers left and right and they just suck.
I hope that paypal comes to their senses while they look into your situation and corrects the negative balance in your paypal account. Smart to report your cc stolen and to contact your bank. |

What everyone needs to realize here is that PayPal never goes up against a Credit Card company. Once a buyer files an Unauthorized Transaction with their CC company, the game is over. If PayPal fought these claims, eventually the CC companies wouldn't allow transactions with PayPal at all, much like they don't allow you to fund your online Poker account with a CC. Although PayPal says they will fight the CC company on your behalf, they don't, ever.

I thought I would update you guys on whats up. I got a call today from paypal. Robert, the rep, asked me when i was going to pay the money i owed. For a sec I got mad, then i realized they have no way of getting cash from me since, to be on the safe side, i canceled every credit card and bank account i have had in the last 10 years, andchanged the account numbers.
Below is the conversation we had: me: I thought it was still under review? him: it is but your balance needs to be restored to $0. you have 45 days from today to pay off your balance of $6420.88. me: why? I'm getting scammed. and you don't give a s***. him: i understand your frustration, but you need to resolve your balance. me: really? him: yes. our policy states... me: your policy? your policy sucks. him:...... me: you still there Robert? him: sir, there is no need to be rude. just pay what you owe us. me: I don't owe you s***. your not getting a dime. him: Mr. XXXXXX, i did not cause your issue. you simply made a mistake. in business these things happen. take it as a loss and be more careful in how you handle your business affairs. me: LOL him: we can set up a payment plan if that will assist you. me: No him: sir you need to pay the balance. how can i help you do that? me: What if I don't? what are you gonna do about it? Huh? What? Send it to collections? Go right ahead. him: sir I do not advise you to do that. me: why not? because you will take loss when you sell it to those vultures for pennies on the dollar? I'm gonna tell you 1 time only. DO not call me again unless it is an apology and you are going to refund every f****** dime that crook stole from me. If you cant do that then paypal is going to take the hit. I AM NEVER GOING TO PAY YOU ONE F****** PENNY. Record that for training purposes B****!! Then I hang up... Man that felt great. I know some of you may be thinking that i took it out on the wrong guy, but frankly, i don't care. Just wanted to vent and he was the poor sap who got in the way. F*** PAYPAL.. thats a quote -Ric Last edited by riclater211; 02-08-2012 at 04:54 AM. Reason: Edit swear words out... |

Yeah their "seller protection" doesn't cover intangible items or services, neither does "buyer protection" but if they pay with a credit card they can file a chargeback for unauthorised charges, item not received or not as described. Such an "ideal" place for selling these types of things until you realise PP don't really protect you at all. If the buyer is claiming fraudulent charges PP should eat the loss not the seller as they are the ones who approve the credit card transaction. It's not just feebay sellers that get ripped off, it's anyone that accepts payments through PP.
