It's heart wrenching to read all these terribly sad stories. I have somewhat good success, but when I do have a problen, I seem to come up on the short end of the stick. My most recent experience is with a French customer who purchased $220.00 of Ferrari pins. This is where the problem started with PayPal. There was a issue with ONE of the pins. The package was sent registered and insured mail. Not able to understand the customer he and PayPal refused to take the parcel to the postoffice to make a claim but returned it to me. It the meantime PayPal removed $220.00 from my account pending the outcome of the returned pin or pins. The box arrived not registered or insured and PayPal then gave the $220.00 to the French customer. The only trouble was the box was cut open at the back and it was a "EMPTY BOX. After 25 emails and my final appeal and feeling like Dorthy in the "Wizzard of Ozz", where PayPal made me first get a mail fraud document, then that was not good enough. Then they made me complete a form with a Notary public. Now they asked for a police report. Their valued people are buyers not sellers because that is were there profit is.

Awful just absolutely awful but typical paypal. Where Sellers get Screwed should be their new Slogan.
This buyer probably had the intention of scamming you from the beginning. I would be almost sure that he is the one that emptied the box of the pins and then leaving you having to believe it is the Post office that is at fault. I don't know if the following is true but I have heard that once you file a police report paypal resigns from providing you with any assistance regarding that case. |

Another somber story of PayPal sticking it to the seller.
Seems as though you are following the PayPal procedures for filing an appeal, however, I am finding that more and more these appeals tend to get lost in the shuffle or they are shuffled until lost. These appeals can last for lengthy periods of time with lots of gathering, tracking and re gathering and re tracking to provide them with "documentation" they need in order to rectify the situation causing frustration on your part. But, it is your money and though you have been scammed Paypal will hold you, your money, and your business accountable. Odd sort of system but it seems to work for THEM. Keep on keepin on...hopefully they won't run you around much longer and will in deed return your funds. |

Thanks for eveyones thoughtful input. It's been a real nightmear. To make matters worse this is my collection I am selling off because I lost my job after 25 years. Spent the whole day just trying to get a New York State Police report for PayPal because they will not accept the case number and officer card. The customer already has all the Ferrari Pins worth $200 and then PayPal told him for one bad pin take all the sellers money from the sale of $220.00 All I have is a case Number. I guess if Andrew Cuomo had some thievery he would have NO PROBLEM GETTING a POLICE REPORT from the
NEW YORK STATE POLICE. |

Hi Ronald,
I hope you will have a happy ending to this horrible nightmare that you have been stuck in. Paypal can make any sane man go crazy. The easiest way to get a copy of the police report is to go down to your local police station where you filed the report and they will print it out for you for a small fee (typically 10 cents per page) I hope that once you have the police report submitted to paypal that will be the end of it and you'll get your money back. Best of luck to you! |
