Default How to kill off ebay paypal for good

This is all legal and you are not breaking any rules if you do the following.. read on:

Change your name on Ebay to say.. Nopaypal-janet 01.
or Nonpaypalplease, or whatever you want as long as you precede it with the
words nopaypal..or nonpaypal etc..in my case im called simply...nopaypalpal..!

you could have say if your called hank ..nopaypalhank! get the picture !

When i decided to change my Ebay name and first typed nopaypalpal in to the change your user name page it was telling me i could not have it and started listing suggestions like nopaypalpal andy etc etc

so ebay was actually making the suggestions in multiples of ten or so names and each suggestion started with nopaypalpal! so ebay actually suggest the names ! if you choose a name with nopaypal etc !

After you choose you newname hit save first as if you hit the thing to see if that name is available it tells lies! and says not avail

Just hit save when you decide on your new name ..

ITS ALL LEGAL AND EBAY CANT DO A THING ABOUT IT!! BUT IF WE PEOPLE WHO HATE PAYPAL ALL DO THIS WE WILL BE THE BIGGEST LARGEST PERCENTAGE USING EBAY IM SURE !!! AND THE TIDE WILL TURN.

YOU MUST ALSO DO THIS

IN ANY LISTING YOU DO ON EBAY ALWAYS STATE THE FOLLOWING ON YOUR LISTING

(IF YOU USE PAYPAL I WILL NOT RELEASE THE GOODS FOR 90 DAYS) .

THIS IS ALSO LEGAL TO USE AND EBAY CANNOT DO A THING ABOUT IT!!!!

Heres a story..An ebay user sells digital boxes on ebay

Over the years he has lost thousands of pounds because of the folks who use paypal to buy and then swop the circuit boards over . and then say not as described ..ebay paypal gives them back the money and then freind has to pay postage to receive back the broken digital sat box ! that was working perfect when he sent it ..

its called the not as described scam

I have wrote to ebay many many times asking how the seller can be protected from this and what they are going to do about it and they skirt round the answer with no answer . well thats my contribution ..if you all do this with your ebay name this will grow and everyone using a nopaypalpal nom de plume will send out a message .

And if you also state that you wont release the goods for 90 days if you use paypal to pay then that is also legal ..totally !

You might want to add to that ,,(Because ebay paypal offers me no protection to the not as decribed fraud that is common practice now on ebay ).

PLEASE ALL CHANGE YOUR NAMES TODAY AND DO IT FAST BEFORE THEY COTTON ON TO IT AND MAKE A RULE CHANGE .

IF YOU HATE PAYPAL AND BEING FORCED TO USE IT THEN IF WE ALL DO THIS NAME CHANGE IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS THEN THEY WONT HAVE TIME TO BRING IN A NEW RULE

WE WILL THEN END UP WITH A TRADING COMMUNITY THAT DOES NOT WANT PAYPAL! AND IT WILL BE TRANSPARENT !

IN COMMERCE THE CHEQUE THE BANK TRANSFER THE MONEY ORDER ETC HAVE WORKED FOR OVER 100 YEARS

PAYPAL IS A WAY OF TAKING !! MONEY FROM PEOPLE WHEN THEY DONT WANT TO BE THE VICTIMS OF THIS LEGALISED THEFT? AND FORCED FORCED !!!! TO USE IT..ITS EXTORTION AND OFFERS NO PROTECTION TO THE SELLER WHO IS AFTER ALL EBAYS MAIN CUSTOMER !

THEY TREAT US LIKE DIRT . LETS FIGHT BACK STARTING RIGHT NOW WITH THE NEW NAME CHANGE MOVEMENT DO IT NOW PLEASE ..JUST GO TO EBAYS CHANGE USER NAME PAGE AND CHANGE YOUR NAME TO NOPAYPALMEG OR WHATEVER YOU WANT TO PUT AFTER THAT ..IT WILL CREATE A TRADING COMMUNITY AND WE WILL ALL RECOGNISE EACH OTHER FROM OUR eBAY NAMES ..AS PEOPLE WHO DONT / WONT USE PAYAPAL ..JOB DONE ,,GOOD LUCK ALL. BLESS.

LOL... i'm sorry to say to you, but you are an alchemist... trying to turn sand into gold.
My experience of 5 yrs with ebay and paypal: paypal was here, is here and will be here for many more years to come. you want to "kill off paypal" . we're talking about a huge corporation in the industry with hundreds of people way smarter than you and me that will not allow that to happen.

And no, your name will not do anything. If even will raise a flag for unauthorized account access (if you use a foreign IP) then the guy reviewing it will smile, think "what an idiot" and press the release button, eventually put a note in their system so every time you call them or talk with them, you can get "special" treatment... eg longer waits, more stupid replies and less tolerance.

You do that paypal thing with 90 days see how it turns out, or you can read below and skip the wait: one idiot will buy your thing, not read the description and pay... then he will wait, he will email you, you will tell him that he is supposed to wait 90 days, then he will curse at you and go give you a negative and 0 stars... if you collect 2-3 guys like these your search standard will go to s$@%, and then you will not be able to sell anyway... so the money that you will save from avoiding scamers will actually a lot less than the profit you could be making.

In all the years of selling, i didnt have such a problem with chargebacks and such fraud attempts... Maybe every 500 items sent, you get 1... call it "business expense".
My advice: forget about putting them down and focus more on learning what to do to go around them... I understand you're pissed off but if you're not losing that much money, test it for a few months see exactly how much you sell and how much you get scammed. After, divide that by the number of sales and add 1-$2 to the S/h or the price and you will balance it out. assuming you are selling quantity business-like and not "garage-sales"

Also, make a black list with all the scammers and double check the buyer before sending the item if he/she is in the same city as the scammer and they bought similar items, etc...

P.S- not familiar with virtual goods, but i know that paypal has a policy of "if they complain, we give money back". Best thing to do is just take cash-like payments or Personal PayPal payment for those

PayPal policy on virtual or digital goods is that you can't prove delivery and so virtual goods have no seller protection. If it is a vitual item, it does not matter if a few purchases are reversed as you have not actually lost anything.

I sell relatively low priced digital items so I am not too bothered if someone gets their money back. For higher priced items, I probably would not use PayPal, although I dont know of any that provide seller protection for virtual items.

I agree with the last poster who said just add on a few dollars on to the cost of the product and just accept it as part of selling digital items worldwide.

Physcial goods can have seller protection but the purchaser has to have a verified address and you need to have post office documentation to show that you have posted to that address.

That's not going to accomplish anything. The only reason their site suggests other names similar to what you put in is because it's an algorithym that's designed to do so. Nobody is going to pay attention to people named "Nopaypal" anything, they coudln't care less. What will happen is that little mentioning of 90 day hold until your item is shipped will not be seen by ALL your buyers, some will be unhappy and ding your DSR stars and you'll be kicked from ebay, it's as simple as that. It's funny, your suggestion would actually have no effect at all period.

Try paying attention to the warnings that come up when listing. You only have yourself to blame. There was a warning that came up saying that you can not sell game accounts. If you didn't see it, it's your fault for not paying attention because it certainly was there. I'm not supprised they ignor you, you probably refused to understand that you made the mistake and sold an unauthorized item on ebay. This is the very reason it's unauthorized.

Ive been selling on EBay and using paypal since 2003, explain to me this geniuses......why as of last year, everytime there is a dispute opened up by a customer Ive had for item not as decribed or non receipt, in which case I promptly give tracking numbers.......post pictures of tracking slips for proof.....do they always always end up giving the dispute to my customers. I have proof and evidence that teh item has been shipped and received, yet I lose. There is a scam going on by the buyers where they do this sort of thing and end up with free items. Try it, I will bet you my bottom dollar that you will get yoru item free. Ive lost just over $2 grand this past 6-8 months on these unfair 'dispute resolutions' Ive emailed customer service many times and have not gotten any responses at all, and Ive been a seller for the past 8 years almost.
