Default ebay holds my account hostage

I've been selling on eBay for over 3 years I'm a top-rated seller with 100% feedback. I made thefatal error of checking my eBay account for messages from buyers at my daughter's house over a year ago ,well visiting her. My daughter was also a seller on eBay she was suspended from selling due to her DSR low scores on shipping time. Keeping in mind I had checked my account from her computer prior to her being suspended.

eBay decided to suspend me from selling , seven months after my daughter's suspension because she owes them some fees for listings that eBay took off and she is disputing these fees. eBay said that our account are linked and the only way I can sell on eBay again is if my daughter or I pay the fees that she is disputing.

I explained to them that my daughter is an adult almost 24 years old and lives just about two hours away from where I do (110 miles). We don't share any banking accounts, eBay accounts, address or phone number or, in fact my daughter has not lived with me for just about nine years.

Every time I called eBay I get a different story as to how we are linked in fact they won't tell me how, but what is always the same is "Pay up or else" I've asked them about the letter my daughter received saying anybody linked to her would be indefinitely suspended and their comment was if I paid her fees they would let me sell on eBay again because I'm such a good seller .

The facts are is I am a top-rated seller after me being restricted from selling telling me what a great seller I have had no violations or suspensions the only thing I can think of that I've done wrong with it is checking my account for messages on her computer by the way eBay has says that it's not against the rules to check your account on somebody else's computer. I did open another account to buy items to resale on eBay I did this because I didn't want to show the price I paid for these item in my feedback in my main account. ebay said this isn't against the rules to have 2 accounts.

I'm scared to pay them money because I am single mom and don't have the extra money to pay and then have eBay not let me sell .

Has anyone had this problem or can anyone give me any ideas on how to handle this?

Here's how they link you:

Whenever you log in to ebay, it leaves a flash-cookie as well as your ip address being stamped, so if there are any matching information, they both get banned.

If you dont pay those disputes, then a collection will come for you or your daughter's house so you need to deal with this pronto.

By the way, how much does she owe?

Default the same thing

That is what is happening to me right now. My daughter, who has her own ebay account but constantly used my computer, owes ebay fees and they have now restricted not only my account, but my husbands account also. I have been a seller for eleven years with ebay and have 100% feedback. And the best thing is that although they restricted our accounts for my 24 year old not paying HER bill, they will not give me the amount that she owes. They have also put a restriction on my paypal account. Ebay is creating what some like to call legal fraud and blackmail. I just got off the phone with a woman who could barely speak English and telling me how sorry she was that the restrictions would stay in place. I will be forced to pay my daughter's fees if I want to release the restrictions on mine and my husbands account. In fact, my mother, whom I taught to sell on ebay will be the next victim to this entity. I wish there was someone with enough power to see that ebay has become a monopoly and do something about it. I also believe that is should be illegal to charge us a final value fee for shipping cost. That is like receiving payment for a service they are NOT providing for us. It is after all, us who ship the items.
I would like to tell you that there is a better solution but I think we will both be coughing up money to this greedy giant. I just found out that it will go to collections and that it will affect your credit if they decide to go after you for your daughter's doings.
Good luck

Contact your States Attorney Generals Office about the matter and also the Federal Trade Commission for starters.

I would then commence to file some sort of Wire Fraud charge because they are extorting you VIA electronic device.

Please let me know how you make out
