How much does it cost to have a paypal account? What are the fees associated with using paypal to process payments?
Are there extra fees for Bill Me later and the Mobil payment? Do I have to get a paypal creditcard if I sign up with Paypal? |

when i use paypal they charge 12% by time they were done with taking all charges. They say it is 2.9% and $0.30 but I everytime pay lots more when using paypal.
Then they take your money and not give it back for many days so what is point of using paypal if they not give you your moneys? THIVES=paypal and everything will cost you extra. and you want to be verified seller you need to give paypal bank account or credit card so they steel more from you. |

I'd have to agree with Vladimir that somehow the math and fees that PayPal advertises doesn't seem to add up. They do advertise 2.9% plus .30 per transaction with no set up fee etc....however, if you've heard of the old saying "you get what you pay for" I'd stear clear of Pay Pal. Sure they may not charge a montly fee but they get you every other way they can and believe me they have the ability to take what they want when they want from your account. If you're looking around for a way to process credit cards for your merchandise I would look elsewhere. PayPal is not something you want to get sucked into. Then again you may be a gambling man and want to take your chances. If so, good luck but my advise look at the alternatives.

When you sell through eBay & are paid with PayPal it comes out to around 12%, PayPal directly is 2.9% + 30 cents per transaction if done as a non-personal transaction.

like the other members say it ends up being a lot more than they advertise. you need to give your bank/cc info to get paid as well. After dealing with paypal for many years I moved onto a merchant account and couldnt be happier. I used national merchant bancard and they are harmless enough and just charge $7.95 plus the fees per order.
