holy $hiT bro, same thing happened to me, and im so pissed off. Ive been reading up and now realize this is a way people are scamming sellers on paypal. this is bullsh$t, especially since paypal supposedly has 99.5% success rate in their transactions and are supposedly a safe way to do transactions. well these a$$holes have a flaw in their system and its messed up. especially when I call paypal and they say yeah just provide us with the tracking number and it should be all good, well 3 days later the investigation was completed and quote "this case is closed" unquote. how sincere can paypal get? hahah what a crock of crap, I'm going to feel sorry for the a$$hole who answers the phone when i call them tonight, tomorrow, the day after and the day after. i'm not the guy you want to f$$k with paypal.

fcukUpaypal, Sold an item on ebay a couple of weeks ago. The person who bought it claimed to be in ireland, the ebay account was in ireland and the paypal account was in ireland. Funny thing was, all transactions, feedback, listings etc were in italian and to italy. Still, trusting citizen that I am and reassured by their prompt payment I continued with the transaction. Firstly I rang paypal for advise - 3 times in fact. Every time the call was answered the reciever was promptly put down at the other end before i could even speak. I sourced a freephone number and called that. I was told that she could not help as that number was for sales only. I persued the matter and she advised me to carry on with the transaction because as long as I got proof of postage everything would be fine and rosey. HA HA.
Had an email off paypal this morning. The buyer has filed an 'item not as described' despute, even though it was exactly as described and the lovely people at paypal have now seized the money involved and frozen my account! I am going to have to go through all this dispute bovine excrement now, not knowing whether I will even get MY money back from them at the end of it all. Not sure whats going on. Have i been the victim of a scam do you think?

The fact is your never going to see your money again if you dont take action outside paypal. First off why did you even listen to them and wait 6 months in the first place. I cant believe people nowadays...you found this website and see what PayPal has done and you waited six months??? WTF. The next day PayPal locked my account with that much cash in their possession, 1. I wouldnt of shipped anything out if they payments were from customers. And if it was your original money to start off with, why didnt you contact your bank. Now you have no protection from your bank because the transaction was 6 months ago HELLO! NOW YOU KNOW WHY PAYPAL SAYS YOU HAVE TO WAIT 6 MONTHS. VERY DUMB!

omega987, Omega while the contract you agreed to looks and sounds good, a court has ruled it is unconscionable and is therefore not enforceable. PayPal will, and does, use scare tactics and tons of paperwork to confuse people, but make no misake about it their User Agreement was ruled as being unconscionable. What this means is they were trying to use the arbitration or jurisdiction part of their TOS or AU to shield themselves from charges of wrong doing. The federal case is Combs v PayPal, Inc. Look it up here ... http://pub.bna.com/eclr/021227.htm The Court repeatedly overruled the objections and motions were denied when PayPal asserted their Users Agreement or TOS claiming people agreed to arbitration or only filing in Santa Clara against them. If they win this in some other court, then the way around this would be a class action suit raising the stakes. Their User Agreement in this area only applies to 10,000 or less.... so make it for more.

I live in Brazil and ordered merchandise from a comp. in PA that I never received. When I contacted PayPal to initiate a complaint, they told me to wait a little longer since my order involved international shipping, etc. (not that Amazon.com or any other co. I deal with has ever had a problem in this regard...). When I finally did make a complaint, PayPal told me they couldn't help me because now my complaint had passed their 45-day deadline! They refuse to respond to my e-mails now. Have any other international users had problems, and does anyone know if PayPal has an actual physical presence in Brazil (via Mercado Livre, for example) so PROCON - the govt. agency that handles consumer complaints - can get involved? I sure wish I'd seen this site before agreeing to use them!

Sold an $900 item to a buyer who wanted to ship it to Russia. PayPal payment was using instant funds and using same account as Ebay account and same email address was used for correspondance. So everything checked out. And I thought to myself that not every Russian is a fraud.

But still to be on the safe side, withdrew the funds into my bank account and let it sit there for 10 days before s/h. After fkin 14 days and item delivered in Russia, PayPal put on a hold on the money saying it is Fraudulent and later reversed it from my account. THIS IS FKIN STEALING MY MONEY FROM MY BANK.

IT HAS MADE ME SO ANGRY THAT I WANT TO CHEAT SOMEBODY ELSE AT EBAY AND LET PAYPAL TAKE THE HEAT. I DO NOT CARE IF THEY MESS MY CREDIT.

Had almost exactly the same thing happen to me. The only difference was that they did not E-Mail me. I found out when I expected to see over $2000 in my account. There was only $1700. Thirty five days after the fact I was told that I did not have a signature proving receipt of the item sold. OK Here's the problem. I sold some accounts from a game RO online in July. I sold i recived the money 450USD
I didnt sent them back to my bank account. I spent them only had like 40 USD left on paypal account i bought some stuff so i used the money right away. Well after 2 months a chargeback arrived for the transaction i did with this person.
for the 450 USD the reason was it was an unauthorized charge in that credit card ( I suppose it was stolen or something like that) The problem is that paypal put negative balance -410 and asking me to send information about the transacion. The problem is that i dont have a receipt i did all inside the in-chat game. It's untangible items it's not real. So i had my account frozen i have to send faxes of my utility bill wich i sent 2 weeks ago for supposdly a third party member entered my account. So i told them that i wont be sendin again those faxes the oversea fax is 20 USD page. and the third party member probably was my proxy server that i use to avoid phising or hacking i told them that...well the problem is that i cant cancel my account pr delete my debit card. Should i go to my bank and ask to change my card number im afraid that paypal would access my personal info and withdraw money for my bank account i want to know if they can do that and my bank account is not safe. I think ill lost the dispute cause i dont have any tangible prof of the item being delivered only the accounts name and pass wich they have already being modified.
Should i go and change my bank account information? i dont want to lose my money
